Gump and Dryden

RIP to legendry goalie Lorne (Gump) Worsley. Gump spent 21 years in the NHL and all of those years were with a beer belly.

Tonight the Canadians retired Ken Dryden’s #29. A true legend of the game, he spent 8 seasons with the Canadians and won 6 Stanley Cups. During his speech tonight he said “close your eyes and think of the greats”. Well it was something along those lines. For me the greats were Wendal Clark, Guy Lafleur, Wayne Gretzky, Doug Gilour, etc. I never really know that much about Dryden until I read his book, The Game. After reading his book, I have a deeper respect for a true NHL great and a great Canadian.

The old man posing with Dryden’s statue at the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The Canadiens De Montreal mock locker room from the Forum at the Hockey Hall of Fame. I never got a chance to visit the Forum, sadly. However there will never be another like it.

PS.. Go Leafs Go.

Tokina Sexyness

Finally purchased a wide angle zoom lens today, I have been lusting after for awhile. A Tokina 12-24 F4. Snapped a few pictures tonight to test thing out, I love it! There not the greatest pictures in the world, but gets the point across. Its kinda a pain to set-up the camera when your fingers are frozen solid.

We stunk it up at hockey tonight, lost 8-2. The worst of it was they really werent that great.

Fisher Part 2

Lens

Woot.. Ordered a 50mm F1.8 lens today. I really could have used that over the weekend. Setting up a tri-pod can be alot of work sometimes. And work kinda of goes against my Team Lazy idea's. Good thing they didn't have any Sigma 10-20mm in stock, because that would be in the mail also. However bills need to paid and I still need to save some kind of moneys for the upcoming track season.

Anyways, good evening Book Caddy. How nice it is for you to join us..

Boblo

I am too lazy to write anything for this trip. In fact, I am still kind of upset that the boat never came. The brochure promised us some good times with roller coasters and cotton candy at the park. While we waited for that no-show lame arse boat, a tour of the building was the next best thing. The lighting was amazing that day, all the light rays were beautiful. Another positive was for some strange reason, finding interesting things to shot came really easy.

Mcdonalds anyone? Kind of hungry right now..

I love old school gauges..

One of my favorite kind of shots now, are taking them thought dirty windows.

One of the better views of downtown with the bridge in the picture..

I am hungry, dinner time..

Teh Awsome

The best times come out of the blue. After sitting on my arse for a few hours, figured I should head out and use my camera. So I headed over to Fort Shelby to get a few pixors of the switch board, ballroom, and wander around alittle. I never explored along before so I was a little timid, with some Finger Eleven blasting in my ears it was't that bad. After an hour or two, I got bored and decided to leave. Got only a few feet from the building and spoted a good firend at the corner. I hoped in his car and we headed out.

Since this was my first trip there, I figured my camera would get a work out. This would not be true, because it never left my backpack. Instead we decided to commishion a bridge to get over a large water hazard in one of the tunnels. After sclaping two different buildings of all its chairs, we finally made it to dry land. W00t! All and all, the bridge contains around 2 latters, 5 milk crates, and well over 20 chairs. It stands around 100ft in total lenght and contains two 90 Deg. bends. After 3 hours of hard work, The Crackinaw Bridge was finished. The bridge is a masterpiece of modern engineering. We crossed the bridge and headed straight to A building. Walked around little bit, watched a movie in the theatre, and headed up to the roof. The view was beatiful, enought looking out through all the fog. It was refreshing to look around and see trees..

Ok I lied, I did take a few pixors..

The Crackinaw Bridge....

A place to let the crazies outside to play.. Hmm looks like the place my mom would always take me when I misbehaved..

This whole trip there was pretty much teh awsome!! Well worth getting less then 4 hours of sleep last night. Amazingly I still managed to get work done today..

Church

I finally finished editing all my pictures from last week, wohoo. Instead of posting them up, I rather post some from today expidation. We heard throught the grapevine that a beatiful church was open for some tours. So we packed up our stuff and headed over there. The tour guided never showed up, so we walked around are selves. By the looks of it, it had be closed farely recently.

This stair case was a highlight for me. Simply beatiful, maybe one day I will have one of my own.

You have to have the pre-req skyline shot..

Just noticed that I have one more building to edit, so I am off to do that..
